The Founders of this Movement (Pastors Andrew & Donnette Norman) are forever grateful to the Church of God of Prophecy where they both received Salvation and early practical training in ministry. They give glory to God for the life, work, prayers and sacrifice of everyone in the entire Body of Christ, who hold and proclaim the true Word of God in every era (past and present).

The Founders truly believe that God has given this mandate to celebrate the life and work of Jesus Christ, through yielded vessels in every generation.  They are grateful to be commissioned by God to help to carry out the Great Commission.

Their prayer is that all those who come behind them will find them faithful.  The Eternal Church of Jesus Christ - The Record” anchors on the Biblical Foundation or Imperative below.

Jesus Christ is The Founder, Author and Finisher of the Christian Faith and The Eternal Church.  He is “The Firm Foundation”.  “For other foundation, can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11).  Jesus paid the price so that He could build His Eternal Church in and on the revelation of Himself (Matthew 16:18, Acts 17:28).

Our History

1997

Ministerial Training and Ordination

Long before the formal founding of the Church, in the year 1997, Andrew and Donnette Norman were ordained as ministers under the ministry of Apostle Dr. Mary Banks at Bible Teachers International. Under her spiritual leadership and teaching, they received sound doctrine, ministerial training, and the foundation of truth that would later equip them to launch and lead The Eternal Church of Jesus Christ – The Record.

Pre-2020

Spiritual Mentorship and Influence

Over the years, the Normans were significantly shaped by key spiritual mentors who left lasting impressions on their lives and ministry. Bishop Herro Blair Sr., Founder and President of the Deliverance Evangelistic Association Inc., served as a mentor and spiritual father. Additionally, the late Bishop Rennie Lyn Williams and Evangelist Myrtle Williams provided early ministerial training, mentorship, and a godly example, all of which contributed deeply to the spiritual DNA of the Eternal Church.

Birth of the Movement

On October 15, 2020, The Eternal Church of Jesus Christ – The Record was birthed in Portland, Jamaica, through the inspiration and leading of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of Andrew and Donnette Norman. This marked the formal spiritual beginning of the Movement, with a name given by divine revelation to emphasize the unending, timeless nature of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Late 2020

Name Inspiration and Spiritual Legacy

In the latter part of 2020, the name of the Church was solidified through two key influences. First, the phrase “The Eternal Church” was inspired by Apostle Dr. Bill Hamon, whose book by the same title provided a revelatory foundation about the eternal purpose of the Church. Second, the term “The Record” was derived from the spiritual legacy of the late Bishop Rennie Lyn Williams of the Church of God of Prophecy in Frazer, St. Ann, Jamaica. His life and ministry became a spiritual inheritance for the Founders, and his legacy inspired what would become “The Record Series.”

 March 2020 – Present

Myrtle Williams House of Prayer

Beginning in March 2020, amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, Evangelist Myrtle Williams (wife of the late Bishop Rennie Lyn Williams and mother of Co-Founder Donnette Norman) began hosting nightly family prayer meetings under the name “Myrtle Williams House of Prayer.” These nightly gatherings provided a spiritual environment of intercession, faith, and perseverance and played a pivotal role in the birthing and strengthening of the Eternal Church. These meetings continue to this day as a powerful source of spiritual covering and ministry.
